Ever since I was in college, being my boss was something I’ve always wanted to be. A business owner in my right, I envisioned myself running my own company dealing with music and the business I had several references. With that said, I had skills. I could sell the product. I could easily assemble profit, as well as handle entertainment. However, I could be a consultant. Perhaps, I could be a support specialist. Maybe I could be an entrepreneur. With these skills backing me up, I was confident I’d be able to make it.
But as dreams come, I realized that being a business owner isn’t that unique nowadays and that there are thousands of people just like me. Music arts are a dime a dozen, after all. Plus, I had one major problem: I didn’t know much on promoting skills.
We all know of people enrolling for business schools for education
I was one of those who didn’t think much of going to school and getting an education, confident that my business skills would be enough to get my company going. Be that as it may, I was dead wrong.
We all know about the value of connections. However, I did have a few, and I utilized those. After all, good PR is always good for business. Although, as time went by, those connections became saturated. Exhausted. The income I garnered from those connections just didn’t seem to make ends meet.
I read about and applied strategies in business shared by others. Therefore, I maintained a good company. Excellent keyword optimization practices implemented, my business got a decent amount of profit, but that just didn’t equate to having new clients.
Eventually, I realized what my problem was…
My understanding on marketing my business
When it comes to promoting or marketing, one needs first to understand the nature of one’s company, in conjunction with where the company stands.
What was stressful is that I was playing the Major Leagues, when I was actual still in the Little League playpen. However, I was thinking of infiltrating a national scale arts, when in fact, I haven’t even begun working in my neighbourhood.
With this, I decided to go small. Nonetheless, I went around and marketed myself as a “local”. It wasn’t as easy as I had thought, but it got things going. I posted flyers, attended conventions, made friends with business sales personnel, and even went to schools to get an education and offered my services as a specialist.
Six months after, clients started coming in. Not as “national” as I had dreamed, but they were clients. Suddenly I realized that all I had to do was go small and establish my name from there. I was just aiming too high. Now, things are going much more steady, which is strong enough to be my foundation for my efforts in going big.
Skills can make my business more visible
It is imperative that my business is visible to the public. I have had the problem of offering a service that no one could use because they could not locate my compan. Having skills would choose the best way to showcase my product and services. They would also design marketing material so that my company can be found by appropriate demographic. These strategies will be simple, using language and concepts that I can understand and apply.
I know that skills help business succeed.
Having skills would help me increase sales and profits. They teach me the exact marketing skills necessary for my company. Howbeit, I could learn how to prioritize tasks. I could also learn to manage my time wisely so that I am not spending valuable time on medial tasks.
I used the skills my personal skills gave me to bring my company out of the red and increase revenue in less than six months. The business skills talked me through all of the problems I was having. He taught me how to find the resources I needed to become successful.
It was crucial that my company be marketed to the right demographic
My business skills showed me how to find the people who would buy my products. After all, He guided me when I needed to be guided. He pushed me when I needed a bit more encouragement, and he offered the expertise I needed to thrive.
These skills helped me develop new and innovative products and services for my company. They helped me choose a great location. They taught me to use the skills that I have to add value to my products and services. These skills are the strength of my business.
The skills have given me the skills necessary to improve my business and my life. Business skills provide skills that can be used in everyday life. The professional skills offer life skills and business skills. A lack of good marketing made my business suffer. My skills used the skills I had and taught me how to improve them. The most important thing skills did give me the confidence necessary to succeed.
